Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and source innovative packaging solutions for new and existing products
- Conduct package testing to ensure compliance with shipping regulations and product stability
- Lead resolution of packaging-related customer complaints
- Manage complex packaging projects with minimal supervision
- Oversee packaging qualification activities including protocol development, testing, data analysis, and reporting
- Provide technical expertise in risk assessments and root cause analyses
- Drive improvements in packaging performance and cost efficiency
- Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and report findings
- Coordinate packaging line trials and post-trial evaluations
- Collaborate with purchasing, production, ERP, and margin teams to assess feasibility and cost
- Influence internal and external stakeholders to support packaging initiatives
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of hands-on packaging engineering experience
- Deep technical knowledge of packaging materials and processes
- Advanced understanding of packaging development and quality assurance
- Skilled in trial planning, lab request creation, and specification management
- Strong analytical and statistical skills for experimental design
- Effective communicator across all organizational levels
- High ethical standards and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ERP and PLM systems
- Flexible availability across shifts and travel for site trials
