Photolithography Engineer
Position Summary
The Photolithography Engineer is responsible for the development, optimization, and sustainment of photolithography processes within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role ensures robust process performance, critical dimension (CD) control, overlay accuracy, and yield improvement in support of high-volume manufacturing and technology scaling initiatives. The engineer will collaborate cross‑functionally with process integration, equipment, metrology, yield, and manufacturing teams to meet production and quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and sustain photolithography processes for semiconductor wafer fabrication.
- Establish and maintain process windows to achieve CD, overlay, defectivity, and yield targets.
- Qualify and release lithography tools, resists, and process changes into production.
- Analyze process data using statistical methods to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
- Troubleshoot lithography-related yield, defect, or tool performance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support process integration efforts for new technology nodes, products, or transfers.
- Create and maintain detailed process documentation, specifications, and control plans.
- Collaborate with equipment vendors and internal teams to drive continuous process improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in photolithography process development or manufacturing support within a semiconductor fab.
- Working knowledge of DUV and/or EUV lithography systems, photoresists, and track systems.
- Familiarity with lithography metrology (e.g., CD‑SEM, overlay, defect inspection).
- Strong data analysis, problem‑solving, and root‑cause investigation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑volume manufacturing environment.
