A growing packaging manufacturer is looking to bring on a strong production leader to oversee its production department. This person will be a critical member of the site leadership and play a crucial role in the safety and productivity of the facility.
Qualifications for the Production Manager include:
- Fluent in Spanish (required)
- 4+ years of progressive manufacturing experience in a production environment
- Strong leadership background, at least 2 years as a supervisor preferred
- Demonstrated ability to coach employees, manage performance of large workforce, and hold teams accountable
- Comfortable analyzing production data, KPIs, and staffing requirements
- Working knowledge of LEAN, Six Sigma, CI, and similar principles
Responsibilities for the Production Manager Include:
- Oversee all aspects of production operations, including staffing, scheduling, and daily line performance
- Lead, train, and develop production teams, including supervisors, operators, and line personnel
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and procedures; address and document any non-compliance
- Drive operational efficiency by monitoring line utilization, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner with scheduling, inventory, and purchasing teams to ensure accurate materials, proper inventory flow (FIFO), and production output
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance, and leadership to troubleshoot equipment issues, support growth initiatives, and improve overall plant performance
