Project Engineering Lead - Cosmetics Packaging Group
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Project Engineering Lead to drive engineering excellence across our cosmetics packaging operations in Asia. This role will oversee end-to-end project execution-from packaging line installation to automation upgrades-ensuring our manufacturing network delivers innovative, premium, and sustainable beauty packaging solutions.
You will lead multi-market engineering initiatives, partner closely with Packaging Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams, and help us accelerate growth across Asia's dynamic beauty industry.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise
- Support development of new packaging formats and technologies, working closely with R&D and Packaging Development teams.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, safety, and environmental requirements relevant to cosmetics packaging.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and external suppliers for seamless project execution.
- Lead vendor evaluation and technical negotiations with machinery suppliers and engineering contractors.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement best practices in packaging equipment, utilities, productivity, and sustainability.
- Introduce lean manufacturing and OEE improvements across sites.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Industrial Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of engineering project management in beauty, cosmetics packaging or related industries.
- Strong expertise in packaging technologies (e.g., filling, capping, labeling, airless pumps, compacts, injection molding, blow molding).
- Strong in supplier management as well as client technical services.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English.
- Ability to travel across Asia as required.
