Quality Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Manager to lead and continuously improve our quality management systems. This role is responsible for ensuring that products, processes, and systems meet internal standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is hands-on, data-driven, and comfortable collaborating across departments to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with applicable standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, FDA, or other industry requirements).
- Lead internal and external audits, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry quality requirements.
- Analyze quality metrics and performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to resolve quality issues and drive root-cause analysis.
- Manage quality documentation, procedures, and records.
- Train and mentor employees on quality standards, best practices, and procedures.
- Lead or support supplier quality activities, including evaluations and corrective actions.
- Serve as a key point of contact for quality-related customer inquiries or escalations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- [5+] years of experience in a quality management or quality leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, auditing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with regulatory or industry standards relevant to your business.
- Proficiency with root-cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA).
- Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to analyze data and use metrics to drive decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
- Quality certifications such as CQE, CQA, or Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
- Experience managing teams or leading cross-functional initiatives.
