A leading midsized chemical manufacturer is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join its team in central Washington. The Senior Project Manager will oversee largescale construction, facility upgrades, equipment installations, and multiyear capital projects that directly impact production capacity, safety, and site development.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for…

  • Leading full lifecycle execution of construction and CAPEX projects, from initiation through closeout
  • Managing plant, property & equipment (PPE) upgrades, new builds, facility expansions, utilities, and process equipment installation
  • Supporting startup, commissioning, modifications, and system validation activities
  • Coordinating crossfunctionally with engineering, operations, EHS, maintenance, and external contractors
  • Overseeing procurement efforts including specifications, bidding, vendor selection, contract management, and delivery logistics
  • Conducting field walkdowns, verifying work progress, and resolving onsite issues
  • Developing detailed project schedules, cost tracking, risk mitigation strategies, and progress reporting
  • Preparing project documentation including meeting notes, summaries, status reports, and technical closeout packages
  • Managing multiple concurrent projects ranging from multiyear capital builds to smaller facility improvements
  • Ensuring strong communication and alignment across all stakeholders, including executives

The Senior Project Manager should have the following qualifications…

  • 4+ years of project management experience in chemical manufacturing, industrial facilities, semiconductor, or related fields
  • Strong background in construction management, facility upgrades, utilities, and CAPEX project execution
  • Experience with equipment installation, contractor coordination, and construction sequencing
  • Handson approach with comfort working in an industrial plant environment and wearing PPE
  • Strong procurement experience, including vendor evaluation and materials sourcing
  • Ability to manage projects ranging from multimilliondollar, multiyear builds to smaller site projects
  • Excellent communication skills, documentation discipline, and ability to lead crossfunctional teams
  • Engineering or technical background preferred (mechanical, chemical, industrial), but not required
  • Experience with commissioning/startup is a strong plus
  • Exposure to AI or automation projects is highly desirable and may support compensation above the stated range
  • Ability to work onsite in Moses Lake, WA (relocation support available)
