Senior Warehouse Manager
A leading distribution organization is seeking a Senior Warehouse Manager to oversee and optimize warehouse operations, driving a culture focused on safety, team development, service, and efficiency. This role will lead end‑to‑end performance across inbound and outbound operations while building high‑performing teams.
Responsibilities for the Senior Warehouse Manager:
- Lead all safety, service, and cost initiatives, promoting a strong safety‑first culture.
- Coach and develop Warehouse Managers and front-line teams through hands‑on leadership and performance management.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and a collaborative team environment.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory accuracy, order selection, and shipping.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Approve load plans and ensure timely, accurate outbound deliveries.
- Analyze operational metrics to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements (OSHA, HACCP).
- Maintain facility standards and partner with HR on labor relations as needed.
Requirements for the Senior Warehouse Manager:
- 5+ years of warehouse leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams in a fast‑paced environment.
- Solid communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with inventory control, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; WMS experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
