Sr Manager Sourcing - Dual Sourcing (Metals + Fabrication)
A leading industrial electronics and machinery manufacturer is building a next‑generation sourcing organization and is looking for a senior‑level sourcing leader to play a pivotal role in that transformation.
This role is not traditional category management. It is a highly strategic, hands‑on leadership position focused on dual sourcing, supply continuity, and risk mitigation across hardware, metals, fabrication, machining, and castings.
If you've ever looked at a single‑sourced, legacy supply base and thought "there's a better, safer, more scalable way to do this" - this role is built for that mindset.
Why This Role Is Different
- Dual sourcing is treated as enterprise risk insurance, not a tactical reaction
- You'll help shift a historically vertically‑integrated organization toward a structured, scalable, dual‑sourcing model
- The mandate is long‑term and transformational, with visible executive sponsorship
- Significant influence across engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain
What You'll Lead
- Design and execute formal dual‑sourcing strategies for critical components
- Focus heavily on metals, hardware, fabrication, machining, and castings
- Identify and convert single‑source exposure into executable dual‑source programs
- Lead cross‑functional execution with engineering, supplier quality, and operations
- Establish repeatable processes to ensure technical readiness before sourcing actions
- Drive change in an environment where supplier shifts require influence, grit, and credibility
Team & Leadership Scope
- Lead a team of sourcing leaders, engineers, and supplier quality partners
- Operate in a highly matrixed environment with direct and indirect reports
- Set priorities, drive accountability, and develop high‑performing teams
- Be visible on the manufacturing floor - this is not a desk‑only role
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive leadership in sourcing or supply chain
- Strong experience with dual sourcing, make‑buy, or supply risk programs
- Deep exposure to industrial manufacturing (hardware, metals, fabrication, castings, machining)
- Engineering‑oriented background & mindset with strong people leadership skills
- Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and organizational change
- Six Sigma Black Belt (minimum Green Belt required)
Nice to have
- Master's degree (MBA or equivalent)
- Global supplier exposure, including APAC manufacturing environments
Why Join
This is a chance to shape how sourcing is done, influence enterprise‑level decisions, and leave a lasting impact on supply resilience, scalability, and performance. If you are energized by transformation, complexity, and leadership at scale, this role will stretch and reward you. Please don't hesitate to apply in today!
