Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager
Location: Remote USA
Compensation: $90,000 - $125,000 base salary + bonus
Position Summary
I'm supporting a fast‑growing industrial/aerospace‑aligned organization seeking a high‑initiative Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing strategy, drive supplier performance, and deliver cost savings across direct materials. This is a high‑visibility role presenting directly to executive leadership.
Aerospace, defense, or complex manufacturing experience is strongly preferred - familiarity with FAR/DFARS and AS9100 environments is a major advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute category strategies for direct materials
- Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting
- Drive cost‑reduction initiatives and total cost of ownership improvements
- Manage supplier performance, risk, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and finance on NPI and production needs
- Run RFP/RFQ processes and structured supplier evaluations
- Present sourcing decisions and business cases to executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years in strategic sourcing/procurement in manufacturing or aerospace
- Expertise with direct materials or engineered components
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and cost‑analysis skills
- ERP proficiency (SAP/Oracle) + strong Excel
- Clear, executive‑ready communication and cross‑functional influence
- High ownership, initiative, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
