Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute long‑term commercial strategies to expand the organisation's air freight business in the Netherlands and across Europe.
- Identify new market opportunities, emerging trends, and high‑value industry segments to drive sustainable revenue growth.
- Build, manage, and convert a strong pipeline of new business prospects within the air freight domain.
- Leverage in‑depth knowledge of air freight operations, pricing structures, capacity management, and competitive dynamics to support solution design and value proposition development.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations, product, and senior leadership to align commercial efforts with organisational goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients in complex verticals, particularly pharma and healthcare, providing tailored and compliant logistics solutions.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and manage key client relationships to ensure long-term partnership success.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, customer meetings, and strategic partner engagements.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of sales or business development experience within a Logistics Service Provider, with a strong focus on air freight solutions.
- Demonstrable track record of winning new business and achieving consistent commercial targets.
- Deep understanding of the air freight market, including carrier relationships, capacity constraints, pricing, compliance, and market dynamics.
- Experience selling into pharmaceutical/healthcare supply chains (GDP/GMP, temperature‑controlled logistics, high‑value shipments) is highly advantageous.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to plan and execute long‑term business development initiatives.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch is strongly preferred.
