As a Business Development Director, you will play a key role in driving growth by identifying, developing, and maintaining a strong pipeline of new business opportunities. This position involves full ownership of the sales cycle-from initial outreach to closing agreements. You'll manage prospecting, relationship-building, and deal execution, while ensuring exceptional service for existing accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of new business opportunities aligned with the company's target customer profile.
  • Proactively identify and engage prospects through outreach, networking, and industry channels.
  • Manage the entire sales process for self-generated leads, including prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing.
  • Develop and sustain long-term client relationships to support retention, expansion, and ongoing growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and operations to deliver outstanding client outcomes.
  • Maintain full ownership of your book of business, ensuring consistent communication and performance follow-through.
  • Represent the company professionally at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market changes to identify new growth opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or partnerships within the nutraceutical sector.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue and closing deals in nutraceutical manufacturing.
