Account Manager

A leading global manufacturer in the automotive sector is seeking a results-driven Account Manager to lead strategic customer initiatives and drive business growth. This role plays a key part in managing customer relationships and supporting cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement customer strategies with measurable targets
  • Serve as the primary liaison for customer communications and issue resolution
  • Ensure compliance with customer deliverables and internal performance metrics
  • Lead contract negotiations and pricing discussions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including purchasing, engineering, and program management
  • Communicate customer program requirements across internal departments to ensure alignment.
  • Maintain accurate contract pricing and manage change control documentation
  • Respond promptly and effectively to customer inquiries and requests
  • Lead quoting processes for engineering changes and new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with program management to stay informed on project status and milestones
  • Ensure adherence to customer and internal processes and procedures
  • Manage pricing strategies to support profitability and corporate goals
  • Support the development of pricing proposals and strategic plans

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in account management in the automotive industry
  • Proven ability to manage high-impact programs with significant sales volume or strategic importance
  • Strong initiative and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and skilled in negotiation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with strategic thinking capabilities
  • Familiarity with powertrain products (e.g., half shafts, driveshafts, transmissions) is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and improving processes and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
