Position Summary:

The Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety is responsible for establishing, managing, and coordinating all EHS programs and functions across the division. This role ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship. The Director plays a key role in developing EHS personnel and implementing programs that support the company's goal of achieving a zero-incident workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive EHS strategies, policies, and programs aligned with regulatory requirements and company objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations, including those related to air, land, and water.
  • Promote sustainable practices and responsible resource management to maintain a clean and healthful environment for employees and the community.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders to support EHS initiatives and compliance efforts.
  • Oversee the maintenance of environmental permits, submission of required reports, and accurate data management.
  • Manage investigations, assessments, and evaluations of EHS conditions, ensuring continuous improvement through research, planning, and advisory activities.
  • Support the professional development of EHS personnel within the division through mentoring, training, and performance management.
  • Champion a strong safety culture that engages employees at all levels in achieving a zero-incident workplace.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Masters Degree in EHS related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing environmental, occupational health, or safety programs in a manufacturing (plant) environment.

Travel:

  • up to 25%
