EHS Manager
Job Summary:
The EHS Manager is responsible for leading and managing all environmental, health, and safety programs within a chemical manufacturing facility. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, promotes a strong safety culture, and drives continuous improvement in EHS performance across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, DOT).
- Lead site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Manage incident investigations and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Oversee environmental permitting, reporting, and waste management activities.
- Provide EHS training and guidance to employees and contractors.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to integrate EHS into operational strategies.
- Monitor and report EHS performance metrics and drive improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field.
- 8+ years of EHS experience in chemical or process manufacturing, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, process safety management (PSM), and industrial hygiene.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred.
