Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Project Manager to support on-site installation and construction projects for an international organisation in the industrial processing sector. This role is highly operational and requires someone who is comfortable spending the majority of their time on-site, working directly with subcontractors and overseeing day‑to‑day project activities.

This is not a desk‑based administrative position, while administration is an essential part of the job, the Project Manager must independently handle operational tasks, technical coordination, and smaller procurement activities without support from a dedicated procurement team.


Key Responsibilities

On‑Site Coordination (70% of the role)

  • Supervise subcontractors during installation and construction activities.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues on-site in cooperation with subcontractors.
  • Ensure work is performed safely, correctly, and according to project standards.
  • Maintain continuous presence on-site to ensure smooth project execution.

Project Administration & Documentation

  • Prepare and approve work orders and service requests.
  • Provide administrative support essential for project continuity, documentation, checklists, reports, and progress tracking.
  • Review, approve, and manage small-scale orders related to the project.
  • Collect and evaluate quotations for minor tasks or additional project activities.

Project Execution

  • Coordinate installation of equipment, machinery, and associated infrastructure.
  • Support projects ranging from single equipment installation to full building construction with integrated systems.
  • Ensure alignment between engineering plans, subcontractor work, and project timelines.

Stakeholder & Team Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, maintenance, operations) based on project size and complexity.
  • Act as a key point of contact between subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Support communication, scheduling, and daily coordination across multiple parties.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience working on construction, installation, or industrial engineering projects.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills combined with hands-on technical understanding.
  • Ability to independently manage tasks without relying on secretarial or procurement support.
  • Comfortable spending most of the time on active construction/installation sites.
  • Solid communication and coordination skills, especially with subcontractors.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage unexpected issues directly on-site.
  • Fluent in Polish; English is an advantage.
