Description

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of direct reports
    • Schedule reporting technicians to achieve optimal efficiencies in accomplishing preventive maintenance, work orders, and standing work requests.
    • Assure compliance to all personnel, quality assurance, and all other company policies.
    • Assure all equipment management documentation is current, correct and turned in
    • Must be firm, fair and honest in all relationships.
    • Assure that the shop and other areas of the facility under maintenance care are kept clean and orderly.
  • Supervise contractors.
    • Bid small projects.
    • Develop job requests.
    • Draft purchase requisitions.
    • Manage and schedule projects.
  • Continuously improve equipment management by feedback to maintenance purchaser, scheduler, and Plant Manager to "keep from happening again."
  • Be factual. Discussions held need to be professional and that you understand the facts before you assume who/what/where/when.
  • Manage install and upkeep of facility equipment (HVAC, plate chiller, steam generator thermal oil heater, gas fired water heater,) and manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions utilizing inspection, operation and testing of equipment for diagnostic purposes. Provide support for toot cause analysis to create corrective actions to prevent repeat issues.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Manage service calls and contractors to ensure all are operating in a safe and compliant manner
  • Update E-Maintenance system with accurate and timely information related to work scheduled and performed.
  • Closely monitor ever-changing production schedule to plan projects and repairs requiring downtime to coincide with production scheduling demands; Communicate schedules and align outage and shutdown needs with team.
