Maintenance Planner/Scheduler

Are you ready to take on a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of a world-class manufacturing facility? We are seeking a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance, repair, and construction work to support 24/7 operations. You will also serve as a backup to the maintenance supervisor at various times throughout the year.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot operational problems, order repair parts, manage work order backlog, and perform both short-term and long-range planning for in-house and contractor labor.
  • Ensure critical spare parts and materials are available and expedite repairs efficiently.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and adhere to environmental, health, and safety standards, including OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Apply continuous improvement techniques such as Total Productive Maintenance, track KPIs, and maintain equipment histories to improve reliability.
  • Coordinate with procurement, contractors, suppliers, and production teams.
  • Utilize SAP for maintenance work orders, procurement processes, and data management; use MS Project and Microsoft Office for reporting and scheduling.
  • Plan and schedule annual plant turnarounds, coordinating all resources including parts, labor, and rental equipment.

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma/GED required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, preferably in a chemical or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in SAP PM and MM modules; MS Project experience preferred.
  • Ability to read P&ID diagrams, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of multiple crafts (mechanical, electrical/instrumentation, scaffolding, rigging, excavation) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance systems, planning, and scheduling principles.
  • Ability to manage non-routine and emergency activities such as plant shutdowns, start-ups, and commissioning.
