Project/Field Service Technician
The Field Services Technician/Engineer serves technical and administrative functions in the manufacturing facilities.
- REQUIRED SKILLS: knowledge in PLC, Advanced Knowledge of Hydraulic & Pneumatic, Troubleshooting Machinery, Electrical, AutoCAD Mechanical
- The administrative functions include organization and maintenance of project documentation, drawing and design databases.
- The technical functions include installation and troubleshooting of 480-volt 3 phase electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, continuous improvement, and safety initiatives.
- Designs, fabricates, machines, and welds parts and components.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues.
- Willingness to travel for projects on short notice including weekends - 70% Travel (typically 1-2weeks at a time)
- Work with Senior Engineering Team Members on installation, troubleshooting and upgrades of equipment and processes.
- Help with Engineering and Plant Maintenance Projects to achieve desired results and conclude within agreed budget and timeline.
- Manage and perform physical installation of equipment during moves and upgrades.
- Assist Maintenance in identifying and resolving problems.
- Physically troubleshoot and repair production equipment to ensure order fulfillment is achieved.
- Identify opportunities for system improvements, upgrades, or enhancements to optimize automation performance.
- Various other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of a High School diploma or GED. Bachelor's in Engineering or other related discipline preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years prior Industrial Mechanic or Field Service experience.
- Plastics Experience is a plus.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing on-site visits and maintenance tasks.
- Must have basic drafting experience using AutoCAD
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Must be able to troubleshoot PLC's.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
- Technical or electrical degree a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 55 lbs. overhead
- Ability to walk, stand, crouch, and climb to perform duties
- While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles and outside weather conditions
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
- The work environment can be very hot, over 90 degrees.
- Vision: 20/20 corrected and normal hearing range

Pay:
- Compensation pay range is $75k to $85k per year. Exact salary offered will depend on the selected candidate's experience, work location, skills, etc.
