Quality and Technical Manager - Asia
Our client is a leading international provider of premium packaging and consumer solutions, partnering with some of the world's most recognized luxury, beauty, lifestyle, and consumer brands. Due to continued business growth across Asia, they are seeking an experienced Quality & Technical Manager - Asia to lead regional quality operations and drive best-in-class quality standards throughout their supply network.
The Opportunity
This is a highly visible leadership role requiring a hands-on quality professional who is equally comfortable on factory floors as they are driving strategic quality initiatives across the region.
You will lead a team of quality specialists across China and Southeast Asia while overseeing the full quality lifecycle-from supplier qualification and factory auditing through production quality control, compliance, CSR, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will possess a strong technical foundation in chemistry, material science, packaging technology, or a related scientific discipline, combined with extensive experience managing complex supplier networks within premium consumer products, beauty, packaging, gifting, lifestyle, or related manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a regional team of Quality Engineers and QC staff across China and Southeast Asia.
- Drive end-to-end quality management processes covering supplier qualification, product development, production, quality assurance, and post-production performance.
- Establish and maintain robust QA/QC systems, quality metrics, inspection protocols, and corrective action frameworks.
- Conduct supplier assessments, manufacturing audits, process validations, and continuous improvement programs.
- Partner closely with sourcing, product development, operations, engineering, and customer teams to ensure product quality expectations are consistently achieved.
- Manage root cause investigations, resolution of quality incidents.
- Oversee factory compliance programs including CSR, ESG, social compliance, and ethical sourcing requirements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant international regulations, safety standards, testing requirements, and customer specifications.
- Monitor supplier performance through structured KPI management and scorecard reporting.
- Drive quality excellence initiatives across multiple manufacturing partners throughout Asia.
- Provide technical guidance on materials, product performance, production processes, and packaging specifications.
- Support customer audits, factory visits, and quality presentations when required.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or related scientific field.
- 8+ years of quality management experience within premium consumer goods, beauty, cosmetics, packaging, personal care, gifting, luxury products, lifestyle products, or related industries.
- Proven experience managing regional quality teams and external supplier networks across Asia.

- Fluent English and Mandarin Chinese
