Quality Manager
Job Summary:
The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and control within an aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. This role ensures that products meet rigorous industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance, while driving continuous improvement across quality systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of AS9100 and ISO 9001-compliant quality management systems.
- Manage internal and external audits, corrective actions, and root cause analyses.
- Oversee inspection, testing, and documentation processes to ensure product conformity.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Interface with customers and regulatory bodies on quality-related matters.
- Monitor key quality metrics and lead initiatives to improve performance and reduce defects.
- Ensure compliance with defense and aerospace standards, including ITAR and DFARS where applicable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 7+ years of quality experience in aerospace, defense, or a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and industry-specific quality standards.
- Experience with quality tools such as FMEA, PPAP, SPC, and Six Sigma.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications such as CQE, CQA, or Six Sigma Black Belt are a plus.
