Quality Manager - Packaging Manufacturer

Location: Little Rock, AR area


Overview

A leading global manufacturer of paper-based packaging materials is seeking a Quality Manager to support a large-scale, process-driven facility serving food, beverage, and consumer goods markets. The organization is known for its focus on sustainability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.


Position Summary

The Quality Manager will lead all plant-wide quality systems and performance initiatives, ensuring product consistency, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction across a high-volume manufacturing operation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) activities across the plant
  • Maintain and enhance plant-wide quality systems and standards (ISO and customer-specific requirements)
  • Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards
  • Partner with operations to improve process consistency, yield, and product performance
  • Oversee internal and external audits, including customer and certification audits
  • Track and improve key quality KPIs (defects, scrap, complaints, cost of quality)
  • Lead and develop the quality team, fostering accountability and performance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering or related field preferred)
  • 5-7+ years of experience in a quality leadership role within manufacturing
  • Experience in pulp & paper, paperboard, or packaging manufacturing strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Quality systems (ISO, audits, compliance)
    • Continuous improvement (Lean / Six Sigma)
    • Process manufacturing environments
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive plant-level quality performance
