R&D Manager (Structural NPD) - Smart Home Appliances

Responsibilities

  • Organize and form ulate technical research routes and plans for product structural development (small kitchen appliances such as air fryers, coffee makers, ovens, rice cookers, and kettles; small environmental appliances such as air purifiers, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, fans, vacuum cleaners, and floor scrubbers; and health and personal care appliances such as body fat scales and massagers), promote technical research implementation, and support the achievement of product roadmaps.
  • Participate in product development technical plan reviews and structural development technical decisions to ensure the accuracy and feasibility of structural development plans.
  • Responsible for organizing and resolving structural development technical issues or anomalies to ensure the smooth progress of product development or technical pre-research.
  • 4. Responsible for breaking down annual business unit goals into team and individual goals to support the effective achievement of overall business unit goals.
  • 5. Responsible for planning, controlling, supervising, and managing the team's work processes, quality, and progress, leading the team to achieve the product development goals set by the business unit.
  • Organize cross-departmental communication and resource coordination based on team work needs to ensure the achievement of shared goals.
  • Organize and formulate team work norms and standards to ensure the rationality and standardization of structural development work.
  • Organize the team to complete knowledge accumulation, technology accumulation, and technological innovation to improve product development quality and competitiveness. Responsible for team human resource planning, echelon building, and capacity building to ensure effective support for product development needs.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in a mechanical field such as mechanical manufacturing, mechanical engineering, mechanical design, or mechatronics
  • 8 or more years of experience in structural development, including experience with small appliances or consumer electronics, and team management experience
  • Mastery of product development processes and structural design theories and methods, and familiarity with materials, molds, and testing
  • Clear logic, strong execution, a sense of responsibility and teamwork, customer focus, and integrity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in native Chinese speaker and fluent in English
