A global leader in the fast‑moving consumer goods sector is seeking an energetic and commercially driven Regional Account Manager (Retail) to oversee key retail customers across East EU. About the Role
The Regional Account Manager will be responsible for shaping and executing the retail strategy across the Eastern EU Markets. You will drive distribution, visibility, and sales performance across major retail partners while working closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure flawless execution and sustainable growth.
This role requires a commercially driven individual who understands the Eastern European retail landscape, thrives in a matrix environment, and can build strong partnerships with key customers at both operational and strategic levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the retail agenda for Poland/Bulgaria, managing national and regional retail accounts.
- Develop and implement customer‑focused annual business plans aligned with regional commercial strategy.
- Deliver against revenue, volume, and profitability targets across the assigned markets.
- Negotiate commercial terms, trade investments, and promotional activities to maximise ROI.
- Monitor category trends, customer performance, and competitor activity to identify business opportunities.
- Partner with Category, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure excellence in execution.
- Drive in‑store activation and visibility initiatives that strengthen brand performance.
- Ensure accurate forecasting and account planning to support operational efficiency.
- Build strong, trust‑based relationships with retail partners at all levels.
Requirements
- Proven experience in FMCG account management, ideally within confectionery, snacks, or broader grocery categories.
- Strong understanding of the Polish and/or Bulgarian retail landscape-experience across both markets is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to build strategic customer relationships and deliver strong commercial results.
- Solid negotiation, analytical, and financial acumen.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix, multinational environment.
- Fluency in English is essential; Polish or Bulgarian language skills are a strong plus.
- Willingness to travel across the region.
