Senior Buyer
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the procurement of direct and indirect materials, including MRO supplies and capital equipment.
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to support cost reduction, quality improvement, and supplier performance.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and alignment with company objectives.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to forecast demand and align procurement with production schedules.
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost structures to inform purchasing decisions.
- Maintain accurate records in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, IFS), including purchase orders, supplier data, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in cross-functional projects related to supply chain optimization.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, ISO standards, and applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, IFS, Oracle, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, supplier audits, and quality systems preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
