Senior Buyer
A growing industrial organization is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead sourcing activities, negotiate competitive pricing, and strengthen supplier partnerships across multiple product categories. This role supports both internal teams and external stakeholders by ensuring reliable, cost‑effective purchasing practices. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, skilled in vendor negotiations, and experienced in managing complex procurement workflows.
Role Overview
- Lead purchasing activities for materials, equipment, and services to meet project and operational needs.
- Prepare sourcing inquiries, evaluate vendor proposals, and conduct competitive bid processes.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and change‑order requirements.
- Monitor order progress, expedite shipments when needed, and resolve delivery or invoicing issues.
- Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and internal teams; support supplier performance reviews and improvement initiatives.
- Process requisitions, issue purchase orders, and ensure timely fulfillment to meet planned project milestones.
- Contribute to sourcing strategy development by gathering, organizing, and analyzing relevant purchasing data.
- Coordinate rental equipment orders and maintain accurate documentation.
- Support special projects and additional purchasing tasks as assigned.

- Strong technical proficiency, including solid knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5-7 years of purchasing or procurement experience, ideally in a project‑based or technical industry.
- Understanding of procurement processes, contract terms, pricing structures, and vendor evaluation techniques.
- Ability to interpret purchasing policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
