About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Demand Planner to support forecasting and demand planning activities across assigned categories and channels. This role is critical in driving forecast accuracy, supporting cross-functional alignment, and enabling data‑driven decision-making within a fast-paced consumer-driven environment.
What You'll Do
- Generate and manage demand forecasts for assigned product categories and channels.
- Continuously improve forecast accuracy through process enhancements, including customer-level forecasting and demand sensing/shaping techniques.
- Analyze historical data, market trends, promotional impacts, and new opportunities to inform demand plans.
- Evaluate purchase trends, promotional results, and seasonal performance to identify drivers of demand.
- Coordinate new product introductions across marketing, sales, and key retail partners.
- Maintain and optimize demand-planning systems, ensuring alignment with established processes.
- Assess the impact of market changes and significant forecast variances; recommend adjustments as needed.
- Monitor and resolve statistical forecast exceptions using system-generated reports.
- Communicate forecast confidence levels, risks, and opportunities to cross-functional teams.
- Prepare reporting and presentations for monthly forecast alignment meetings and demand reviews.
- Conduct forecast accuracy analyses to validate assumptions and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and track forecast-related KPIs with internal teams and customer partners.
- Report performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support ongoing improvement of forecast accuracy and planning processes.
- Assist with routine reporting and generate ad hoc analyses as required.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Category Management, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in Planning or Supply Chain roles.
- APICS or IBF certification preferred.
- Experience in consumer products, manufacturing support, or similar industries is a plus.
- S&OP experience.
- PowerBI experience.
