About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join a leading Aerospace and Defense manufacturer. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with stringent quality standards for mission-critical components such as filters, valves, and hydraulic systems. You will develop and implement quality assurance programs, lead audits, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain excellence in manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain sections of the Quality Assurance Program, including writing procedures and quality plans.
- Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer requirements.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions to resolve quality issues.
- Review customer proposals and interface directly with customer QA representatives for problem resolution.
- Manage documentation including engineering drawings and First Article Inspections (FAI).
- Design and deliver training programs for inspectors and manufacturing personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- 3-5 years of experience in aerospace quality assurance or related field.
- Strong knowledge of military and commercial aerospace quality systems and specifications (MIL-Q-9858, ISO 9001).
- Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
