The Sourcing Specialist will lead strategic initiatives aimed at reducing total landed costs, optimizing spend, maximizing resource utilization, and improving total cost of ownership (TCO). This role involves executing sourcing events (RFQs, RFPs), driving supplier negotiations, and implementing continuous improvement and cost reduction strategies. Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with Materials, Operations, Engineering, and Finance teams.
Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Manage assigned supplier base to drive ongoing cost improvements, including negotiating favorable pricing, terms, and conditions to achieve optimal TCO.
- Lead sourcing activities (RFQs, RFPs) to identify cost-saving opportunities and support new product development.
- Maintain consistent and effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, timely product delivery, quality assurance, and compliance.
- Conduct regular business reviews with key suppliers and internal teams to assess performance and identify improvement areas.
- Apply best practices to enhance supplier performance, minimize waste, and improve supply chain reliability.
- Utilize data analytics to support continuous improvement in sourcing and material management processes.
Operations & Finance Support
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Materials teams to ensure material availability and resolve supply-related issues promptly.
- Work closely with Finance and Treasury departments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts payable.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, materials management, or supply chain roles.
- Experience with international trade is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MRP/ERP systems, and inventory management best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and drive results.
