Position: Utility & Energy Engineer - Manufacturing Site (Netherlands)
A leading global manufacturer in the food and beverage sector is seeking a Utility & Energy Engineer to join its engineering team at its facility in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This role is focused on driving energy efficiency, optimizing utility systems, and supporting sustainability initiatives in line with ISO 50001 standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of utility systems and energy strategies (PDCA cycle).
- Lead projects aimed at improving system performance or extending equipment lifespan.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for outsourced services, materials, and equipment.
- Initiate and monitor CAPEX projects related to energy and environmental improvements.
- Ensure compliance and reporting aligned with ISO 50001 certification requirements.
- Develop and maintain a multi-year maintenance plan to guide future CAPEX investments.
Candidate Profile
We're looking for a proactive and technically skilled professional who:
- Holds a degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (HBO level or equivalent).
- Is fluent in Dutch.
- Has solid knowledge of utility systems and relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Demonstrates leadership capabilities and a collaborative, people-oriented approach.
- Is experienced in continuous improvement methodologies such as Reliability Excellence.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.
