Vice President of Operations
Job Summary:
The VP of Operations is responsible for leading operational strategy and execution across a portfolio of data centers. This role ensures optimal performance, uptime, and efficiency while driving continuous improvement in facility operations, customer satisfaction, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of data center facilities, including infrastructure, maintenance, and service delivery.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to support business growth, uptime, and sustainability goals.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., Uptime Institute, ISO, SOC, HIPAA) and regulatory requirements.
- Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, facilities, security, and customer operations.
- Drive operational excellence through KPIs, process optimization, and risk management.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on capacity planning, capital projects, and expansion initiatives.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in data center operations or mission-critical infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of data center systems (power, cooling, networking) and operational best practices.
- Proven track record in managing large teams and complex, multi-site operations.
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, and leadership skills.
