As they continue to grow, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to lead the safety and compliance initiatives across all operations.
In this pivotal role, you will drive the development and execution of robust EHS programs that ensure regulatory compliance, minimize risk, and promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship throughout our manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution facilities.
The Director of Environmental Health and Safety will be responsible for:
- Lead strategic EHS initiatives tailored to chemical manufacturing environments.
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory bodies.
- Oversee hazardous materials handling, waste management, and pollution prevention.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement proactive safety protocols.
- Develop and deliver specialized EHS training for chemical processes and equipment.
- Investigate incidents, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor EHS KPIs and drive continuous improvement across all sites.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations to integrate EHS into process design.
- Manage audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and external auditors.
The Director of Environmental Health and Safety will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive EHS experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role within chemical or industrial manufacturing.
- Deep understanding of chemical safety, hazardous materials, and industrial hygiene standards.
