Engineering Manager
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Process Execution
Leads the planning, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling. Manages a portfolio of projects, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables, to ensure successful execution. Collaborates with cross-functional teams such as design, quality, and supply chain to drive process improvements and ensure alignment with operational goals. Ensures adherence to all safety regulations and company policies.
Process Improvement & Innovation
Develops and implements strategies to enhance manufacturing performance through innovation and continuous improvement. Identifies opportunities for increased efficiency, quality, and cost reduction, and leads initiatives that impact site-level operations. May lead cross-functional teams in executing improvement projects.
People Leadership & Development
Mentors, coaches, and develops team members to support their professional growth. Provides clear performance feedback and ensures employees are properly trained to perform their roles effectively. Fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Manufacturing Systems & Technology
Optimizes the use of manufacturing systems and performance metrics. Plays a key role in system enhancements, technology selection, and implementation to support operational efficiency and scalability.
Budget & Resource Management
Leads capital planning efforts and manages capital projects and expenditures. Oversees resource allocation and ensures adherence to budget controls within the team.
Cross-Functional & Supplier Collaboration
Works closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to define product specifications and manufacturing requirements. Partners with Product Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, and Operations to deliver effective and scalable manufacturing solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering or related areas
- Strong technical expertise with the ability to support new product development and solve complex problems
- Proven project management skills with the ability to drive efficiency and deliver results
- Experience supporting strategic planning and long-term operational improvements
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to improve quality, reduce cost, and increase throughput
- Demonstrated ability to create and manage engineering schedules and track progress against deadlines
- Effective leadership, communication, and team engagement skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Strong prioritization and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and web-based tools
