Plant Manager
Position Summary:
A Chicago-based food & beverage manufacturer is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead all aspects of plant operations. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality production while maintaining strict compliance with food safety standards and elevating performance across the plant.
The Plant Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Oversee all daily production activities and ensure operational targets for safety, quality, output, and efficiency are consistently achieved.
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and certification standards including GMP, HACCP, FDA, and relevant food safety programs.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase throughput, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage capital expenditure planning and execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Managing 4-wall costs and expenses related to P&L.
The Plant Manager should have the following qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in food & beverage manufacturing, including progressive leadership roles in production or plant operations
- Strong knowledge of food safety requirements, regulatory standards, and quality systems (GMP, HACCP, SQF, etc.).
- Proven track record of leading high‑performing teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Engineering, Food Science, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience managing both operating budgets and capital projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
