Quality Manager
The Quality Manager oversees all quality assurance and quality control activities within the heavy machinery manufacturing environment. This role ensures products meet engineering specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements while driving a culture of continuous improvement and regulatory compliance. The Quality Manager leads a team of quality engineers and inspectors, develops quality systems and procedures, and partners closely with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to reduce defects, optimize processes, and enhance product reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage quality assurance and quality control teams, ensuring adherence to company and industry standards
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001 or relevant industry standards
- Oversee inspection, testing, and validation processes for components and finished machinery
- Investigate nonconformances, lead root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and suppliers to improve product quality and reduce variability
- Prepare for and support regulatory audits, internal audits, and customer inspections
Qualifications (Typical):
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field
- Experience in heavy machinery, industrial equipment, or similar manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, statistical process control (SPC), and root cause analysis methodologies
- Proven leadership and communication skills
