An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Process Engineer to lead technical innovation and operational excellence within a high-performing manufacturing environment. This role is instrumental in shaping process strategies, driving continuous improvement, and mentoring teams to achieve world-class standards in safety, quality, and efficiency. The Senior Process Engineer will serve as a trusted advisor and technical authority, influencing decisions that impact long-term business success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Operational Excellence: Provide advanced engineering expertise and strategic guidance to optimize production processes, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Analyze complex process data, identify performance gaps, and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert for troubleshooting critical process deviations, guiding cross-functional teams toward sustainable resolutions.
  • Strategic Process Development: Recommend and execute process improvements, including new technologies and capital projects, to support growth and operational resilience.
  • Safety & Quality Stewardship: Champion investigations into safety and quality incidents, ensuring robust corrective actions and compliance with industry standards.
  • Mentorship & Training: Lead the development of technical skills within operations teams through structured training programs and hands-on coaching.
  • Lean Leadership: Act as a Certified Lean Specialist, spearheading initiatives that reduce waste, streamline workflows, and deliver measurable business impact.
  • Leadership Coverage: Assume managerial responsibilities during leadership absences, ensuring continuity in decision-making and operational performance.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience); advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, with leadership experience strongly desired.
  • 5+ years of process engineering experience (preferrably in a wet milling environment)
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to innovate and challenge conventional methods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing at all organizational levels.
  • Expertise in GMP, Quality, and Safety standards, with a commitment to operational excellence.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations and lead teams through change with confidence and clarity.
