Position: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Lake City, MN

Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of skilled hourly employees in maintaining and improving equipment reliability across our manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensuring high machine uptime, minimizing downtime, and supporting overall plant performance through effective maintenance strategies and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance personnel to meet production goals and ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Provide clear communication and continuity across shifts to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Enforce company policies and safety regulations; proactively identify and address potential hazards.
  • Collaborate with quality teams to maintain product standards and minimize scrap through effective troubleshooting and process improvements.
  • Monitor and drive performance metrics including labor efficiency, productivity, cost reduction, safety, and absenteeism.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of maintenance staff; ensure team members are well-versed in equipment operation, safety protocols, and company procedures.
  • Support environmental management initiatives by adhering to relevant policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Report and help resolve any environmental nonconformities and suggest improvements to environmental documentation and practices.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; vocational training or an associate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of maintenance processes and production operations.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and resolve issues effectively.
