Responsibilities
- Manage material replenishment and build shipments from various supplier locations, considering lead times, order quantities, storage needs, and shelf life.
- Determine optimal order quantities to balance demand with available resources, such as warehouse space.
- Oversee reverse logistics in collaboration with cross-functional teams when material issues arise.
- Ensure compliance with volume, pricing, delivery terms, and freight cost accuracy.
- Handle crisis situations effectively and manage multiple priorities related to production materials.
- Lead supplier business reviews to drive performance improvements.
- Contribute to strategic sourcing efforts, including documentation, regulatory compliance, sample evaluations, and financial assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver value across the organization.
Requirements
- Ability to work fully on-site in Marlborough, MA.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships, especially with plant operations teams.
- Experience in supplier performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to mentor and support junior purchasing staff.
- Experience in food manufacturing is a plus.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Syspro is a plus.
