Sanitation Manager (m/f/d)
Position Summary
This leadership role is responsible for managing sanitation operations within a food production facility. The successful candidate will ensure hygiene protocols are followed, lead a dedicated sanitation team, and contribute to maintaining a safe and compliant environment. The position requires bilingual communication skills and a proactive approach to quality and safety.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and manage cleaning schedules and hygiene protocols across all operational zones
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations (e.g., GMP, HACCP)
- Lead and develop the sanitation team, including training, supervision, and performance management
- Support audits and inspections, maintaining accurate documentation and records
- Conduct regular hygiene assessments and implement corrective actions where needed
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve sanitation-related issues and improve processes
- Monitor inventory of cleaning agents and ensure safe handling and storage
- Promote a safety-conscious culture and ensure hygiene practices align with production safety
- Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and introduce new cleaning technologies or methods
Candidate Profile
- Degree in engineering, food science, or a related technical field
- Several years of experience in food manufacturing, ideally in a hygiene or sanitation leadership role
- Familiarity with industry standards and auditing practices
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work across teams
- Fluent in Dutch and French, with strong English proficiency
- Comfortable working in dynamic environments and managing multiple priorities
- Skilled in problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
