Continuous Improvement Engineer (New Hampshire)
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Continuous Improvement, this role leads continuous improvement initiatives within the investment casting business, supporting aerospace, automotive, and industrial markets. The position facilitates cross-functional teams using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve turnaround times, velocity, and cost efficiency. Projects are moderately complex and require strong problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with site leadership to identify and address priority improvement areas
- Assist in developing and training new processes and team members
- Develop, deploy, and manage improvement strategies
- Lead and execute improvement projects to meet business objectives
- Perform additional related tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Industrial Engineering
- At least 1 year of experience with strong analytical skills (statistical methods, financial analysis, or engineering modeling)
- Training and hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, ideally in aerospace, automotive, or high-volume manufacturing
- Experience with Lean/Six Sigma tools (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Cellular Flow, SMED, Kanban, Hoshin, Visual Controls, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency with relevant software (Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab, etc.)
- Ability to facilitate consensus, gain leadership buy-in, and drive change initiatives
- Demonstrated track record of successful, sustained continuous improvement
