Maintenance Mechanic
This is a skilled technical role responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of production and manufacturing equipment. The mechanic will inspect machinery to ensure proper operation, perform preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications, and diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on assigned production lines
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment as needed
- Support equipment upgrades and technology enhancements
- Collaborate with external contractors during installations or modifications
- Execute line changeovers for packaging adjustments
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
- Assist in training new maintenance team members or operators on equipment basics
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 18 years or older
- 5+ years maintenance experience desired
- Food & beverage experience a plus
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems
- Understanding of PLCs & preventative maintenance
- Experience working in a high-speed manufacturing environment with collaborative teams and high-performance demands
- Ability to frequently lift up to 60 pounds, climb, stand, walk, crouch and bend continually over a 10-12 hour period
