A large, global manufacturing organization with 5,000+ employees is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to lead Operational Excellence and Lean initiatives across a key chemical manufacturing operation in Florida.

This position will be responsible for identifying and executing opportunities to improve productivity, cost, throughput, quality, and overall operational performance. The ideal candidate brings a strong Continuous Improvement / Operational Excellence background within a manufacturing environment and is comfortable partnering with operations and engineering leadership to drive sustainable change.

Chemical manufacturing experience is highly preferred, but candidates from other complex process manufacturing environments will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead site-wide Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Develop and execute improvement projects focused on cost reduction, productivity, throughput, waste reduction, and process optimization.
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify root causes and implement sustainable process improvements.
  • Lead Kaizen events, value stream mapping, process mapping, root cause analysis, and other Lean/CI activities.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, EHS, and site leadership.
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure the financial and operational impact of improvement initiatives.
  • Build Continuous Improvement capabilities throughout the organization through coaching, training, and employee engagement.
  • Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across the manufacturing operation.
  • Support larger strategic Operational Excellence initiatives across the organization as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, or Process Improvement.
  • Strong experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional improvement projects and delivering measurable operational results.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, root cause analysis, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to influence and drive change across multiple levels of a manufacturing organization.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience within chemical manufacturing, specialty chemicals, petrochemicals, refining, or other process-intensive manufacturing environments.
  • Track record of delivering measurable cost savings, productivity improvements, or capacity gains.
  • Experience working within a large-scale, multi-site manufacturing organization.
