Company Profile: A CPG organization is looking for a Demand Planner to join their team. This person will be responsible for improving the accuracy and reliability of the Demand Plan through projection of the most realistic estimate of customer demand in collaboration with other functions and manage expectations to enhance the responsiveness of the organization's Supply Chain in fulfilling customer demand.
The Demand Planner Will Be Responsible for the Following:
- Monthly S&OP best practices including highlighting variances vs financial forecast and risks while maintaining and reporting monthly, quarterly, and fiscal forecast KPIs
- Effectively use Demand Planning system to enable an exception-based management approach
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales by providing input on a regular basis regarding product launches, portfolio optimization, rationale of commercial decisions, promotions, and customer behavior
- Use appropriate statistical models and parameters to enrich statistical forecasts and generate accurate baseline demand forecast for 18-month horizon
- Maintain system to reflect the lifecycle of products
- Monitor alerts to identify potential inventory problems through all planning horizons and coordinate efforts to resolve
- Create and maintain the appropriate master data in the planning systems, minimizing errors, avoiding duplication and obsolescence
The Demand Planner Should Have the Following Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of successful demand planning experience - CPG preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP tools
- Strong analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data and build quantitative models of business problems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and pushbacks as part of building a forecast with cross-functional partners
