Position Overview
The EHS & Facilities Manager will lead Environmental, Health & Safety, Facilities, and Maintenance operations for a manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for driving a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing facility infrastructure and utilities, and leading maintenance activities that support operational reliability and productivity.
The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the site leadership team, partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Human Resources, Supply Chain, and Finance to support strategic objectives, equipment reliability, capital investments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all site EHS programs and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, workplace inspections, and hazard evaluations.
- Drive programs related to Lockout/Tagout, machine guarding, PPE, hazard communication, ergonomics, and industrial safety.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, corrective actions, and prevention initiatives.
- Maintain OSHA records, safety metrics, and compliance documentation.
- Manage emergency preparedness programs, response planning, and required drills.
- Promote a proactive and accountable safety culture throughout the facility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 7+ years of experience within EHS, Facilities, Maintenance, or Manufacturing Operations.
- Previous leadership experience managing teams within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety programs.
- Experience supporting environmental compliance programs such as EPA, RCRA, SPCC, and hazardous waste management.
- Demonstrated experience managing plant infrastructure, utilities, and facility systems.
- Experience overseeing contractors, vendors, and capital improvement projects.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHMM, CFM, or similar are highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading maintenance and reliability programs within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of CNC machining, industrial equipment, and precision manufacturing operations.
- Experience utilizing CMMS systems and maintenance performance metrics.
- Strong project management and continuous improvement experience.
