EHS Manager

Job Summary:
The EHS Manager is responsible for leading and managing all environmental, health, and safety programs within a chemical manufacturing facility. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, promotes a culture of safety, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risk and enhance operational sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning.
  • Oversee environmental compliance programs including waste management, emissions control, and reporting.
  • Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and emergency response drills.
  • Provide EHS training and guidance to employees and contractors.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to integrate EHS into daily activities and strategic planning.
  • Monitor EHS performance metrics and drive initiatives to improve safety culture and reduce incidents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field (Master's or certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM preferred).
  • 7+ years of EHS experience in chemical or industrial manufacturing, with leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, industrial hygiene, and process safety management (PSM).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with EHS management systems and data reporting tools.
