A leading name in the food manufacturing industry is seeking a high-impact, bilingual 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to join their fast-paced, high-output facility in Newark, NJ. This role is critical to driving operational excellence, ensuring production targets are met, and cultivating a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift | Food Manufacturing | Newark, NJ
Shift: 5:30 PM - 2:00 AM, Monday-Friday (Weekend Flexibility Required)
Location: Newark, NJ (On-site)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead with Purpose: Supervise and motivate a team of production associates in the manufacturing of frozen desserts, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to stringent quality standards.
  • Performance Management: Set clear expectations, monitor KPIs, deliver real-time coaching, and address performance gaps to build a high-performing, accountable team.
  • Talent Development: Oversee staffing, onboarding, and training initiatives to foster a skilled, engaged, and safety-conscious workforce.
  • Production Planning & Execution: Coordinate shift schedules, assign tasks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely execution of production goals with minimal disruption.
  • Operational Excellence: Enforce compliance with safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and equipment maintenance procedures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Leverage production data and Lean methodologies to identify bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and implement process enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in both English and Spanish, with strong communication skills across diverse teams.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing, preferably within the food production sector.
  • Leadership Track Record: Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role, with a hands-on leadership style and a commitment to team development.
