Salary: $140-165K
Location: Bethlehem, PA OR Ennis, TX
Schedule: Hybrid (3x a week in the office)
Company Profile: A leader in the food space is looking to add a Senior Sourcing Manager - Protein to the organization. This person will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for animal protein categories, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost, quality, and supply continuity in a fast-growing, highly dynamic environment.
The Senior Sourcing Manager Will Be Responsible for the Following:
- Leverage sourcing and procurement best practices to develop and implement strategies for the protein category
- Develop and foster relationships with major suppliers in the marketplace and pursue upstream relationships in the value chain where beneficial
- Understand macroeconomic, regulatory, and capacity trends that could impact the business
- Manage all aspects of the category including strategy development and execution, negotiation and contracting supply agreements, spend analysis and cost management, risk management, supplier relationship ,and performance management
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to initiate and lead projects to improve quality and service, lower cost and/or increase capacity
The Senior Sourcing Manager Should Have the Following Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10+ years of experience in direct material sourcing in a direct manufacturing environment with 8+ years being sourcing proteins
- Extensive protein sourcing experience
- Ability to expertly collaborate with and influence people of different levels inside/outside the company
- Extensive negotiation, conflict management, and problem-solving skills
- Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
