About the Opportunity
On behalf of one of our clients, we are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Transit Warehouse Manager to lead a critical warehouse and transit operation in the Stuttgart area.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a hands-on logistics professional who thrives in fast-paced operational environments and enjoys leading teams, driving performance, and improving processes. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a busy warehouse operation while ensuring the highest levels of productivity, service quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
You will lead a team of approximately 40 employees and play a key role in maintaining smooth inbound, outbound, and cross-docking activities. This role requires a strong operational mindset, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate combines strong warehouse management experience with the ability to motivate teams, implement best practices, and create a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a warehouse operation with approximately 40 employees
- Manage daily warehouse, cross-dock, and transit activities
- Ensure efficient inbound, outbound, and distribution processes
- Oversee workforce planning, shift organization, and operational resource allocation
- Monitor and improve warehouse KPIs, productivity, and service performance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization projects
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
- Promote a culture of operational excellence and employee engagement
- Support and coach supervisors and team members in their professional development
- Manage operational challenges and implement sustainable solutions
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and transport operations teams
- Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space, equipment, and resources
- Drive operational performance through effective planning and execution
- Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service quality
Your Profile
- Strong background in warehouse, logistics, or distribution operations
- Several years of leadership experience within logistics environments
- Experience in positions such as:
- Warehouse Manager
- Logistics Manager
- Operations Manager
- Transit Warehouse Manager
- Hub Manager
- Shift Manager
- Distribution Manager
- Site Manager
- Warehouse Operations Manager
- Experience managing blue-collar operational workforces
- Hands-on leadership approach and strong operational understanding
- Knowledge of warehouse processes, material flows, and logistics operations
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience with KPI management and operational reporting
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent communication and people leadership skills
- Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced logistics environment
- Fluent German language skills; English skills are advantageous
