Maintenance Supervisor
Position Overview
We are is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for supervising maintenance personnel, ensuring equipment reliability, supporting production goals, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. The role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and automation systems.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and leads.
- Manage daily maintenance activities, scheduling, and workforce planning.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development.
- Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
- Review production and maintenance performance data to identify and resolve operational issues.
- Ensure equipment is operating safely, efficiently, and in accordance with production requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment through 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate maintenance support for manufacturing operations while minimizing downtime.
- Conduct team meetings, training sessions, and performance discussions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
- Investigate and resolve employee concerns, maintenance issues, and operational challenges.
- Partner with operations, quality, sanitation, and leadership teams to support plant objectives.
Technical Qualifications
Required Knowledge & Experience
- Experience leading maintenance teams within a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of CMMS, EAM, SAP, or similar maintenance management systems.
- Understanding of OSHA requirements, workplace safety programs, and industrial maintenance best practices.
- Experience supporting industrial ovens, process equipment, conveyors, packaging systems, or related manufacturing equipment.
- Strong understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
Technical Skills
- Troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems up to 480V.
- Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, motor controls, drives, and power distribution systems.
- PLC troubleshooting experience with the ability to diagnose control system issues.
- Mechanical troubleshooting involving power transmission systems and production equipment.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, ladder logic diagrams, and pneumatic drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
Leadership Competencies
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop maintenance personnel.
- Strong conflict resolution and employee relations skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience analyzing performance data and communicating recommendations to leadership.

Work Environment
This position supports a manufacturing facility where employees are regularly exposed to production equipment, moving machinery, varying temperatures, noise, humidity, and industrial work conditions. The role requires:
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, and reaching.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work around mechanical equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Availability to support operational needs, including overtime when necessary.
Qualifications
Required
- 3-5 years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in industrial maintenance, equipment reliability, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with electrical, mechanical, and automation systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred
- Associate degree or technical education in engineering, industrial maintenance, business, or a related field.
- Food, beverage, packaging, consumer products, or other high-speed manufacturing experience.
- Experience with SAP, EAM, or CMMS systems.
- Familiarity with PLCs, motor controls, and industrial automation.
