Process Engineer
Our client is seeking a highly driven Process Engineer to support and optimize high‑volume chemical manufacturing processes while driving continuous improvement, process development, and new product introduction initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong chemical process engineering expertise with hands‑on manufacturing experience to improve product quality, reliability, efficiency, and scalability in a highly regulated production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process Monitoring & Manufacturing Support
- Monitor and support high‑volume manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and process standards.
- Investigate nonconforming materials, performance trends, and process deviations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Support environmental, safety, quality, and operational excellence initiatives.
Process Development & Continuous Improvement
- Lead process improvement initiatives focused on purification, separation, filtration, and manufacturing technologies.
- Analyze process performance data using statistical methods and process control tools.
- Design and execute experiments to optimize product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and process capability.
- Identify and implement emerging technologies to improve manufacturing performance.
New Product Introduction & Scale-Up
- Support new product development from pilot scale through commercial manufacturing.
- Lead scale-up activities, process transfers, engineering change management, and commercialization efforts.
- Conduct product qualification studies and prepare technical reports supporting product introduction activities.
Project Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Manage engineering projects from concept through implementation.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, R&D, supply chain, quality, procurement, sales, and customers.
- Support audits, customer interactions, supplier engagement, and technical problem-solving activities.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Significant experience in chemical manufacturing, process engineering, scale-up, or production support environments.
- Experience with purification, filtration, distillation, or separation technologies.
- Strong background in process improvement, statistical analysis, DOE, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience leading projects and implementing manufacturing improvements.
Preferred
- Experience in specialty chemicals, electronic materials, semiconductor chemicals, or other high-purity manufacturing environments.
- Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
