Position Summary
Our client is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead 2nd shift operations within a high-volume manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, production performance, and employee engagement while overseeing a large production team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can develop employees, solve problems on the floor, and ensure production goals are met consistently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a production team of 40-80+ employees on 2nd shift.
- Drive daily production, safety, quality, and operational performance metrics.
- Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment to meet production schedules and customer demand.
- Partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Operations teams to resolve production issues and minimize downtime.
- Manage employee performance, training, attendance, disciplinary actions, and workforce development.
- Support Continuous Improvement, Lean, and 5S initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of production supervision or manufacturing leadership experience.
- Experience leading large hourly workforces in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and employee development skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or 5S initiatives preferred.
- SAP, Kronos, and food or packaging manufacturing experience are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
